Project
Nehemiah wants to give you a unique opportunity to sponsor some
of the needy people in Israel - some of God's chosen people who
will "make it" with your helping hand. These include
new immigrants who arrive with extreme needs not covered by the
small government subsidy for immigrants. Some contemplate leaving
Israel, for without a job and language skills, they get discouraged.
Their first year is very hard. By providing generous material and
emotional support, they will be encouraged to succeed in their new
home in Israel. Your one year commitment to send monthly assistance,
combined with several other sponsors, will provide:
- One time gift of winter blankets for each member of the family. A welcome kitchen basket.
- A food basket every month.
- Assistance with used furniture, if available
- Much needed hope and encouragement given by our staff, and your letters which are priceless.
Upon the receipt of your first gift, you will be sent the name and profile of your adoptees, including a picture (if available). We encourage the exchange of letters between you and your adoptees, and we will assist in translation. Since this information is coming from Israel, please allow a few weeks for delivery.

Words
We Love to Hear
Every day we
receive thank you letters from the recipient of the gifts. Here
is one translated for you to show what a blessing a tangible gift
can be given in Christian love.
Dear Friends
from Project Nehemiah,
I have a great
desire to meet you. If it is possible, please send me information
about your organization, why it is Jewish - Christian. I, personally,
didn't receive a gift as I had no idea about your existence. I
heard about you from the old lady I am nursing. I came to receive
a gift for them and saw happy immigrants whose eyes were radiating
with gladness. On behalf of those people I thank you and may the
Lord God send kindness to the hearts of such people. While we
were being given the gifts, we like the faces and kind eyes of
the volunteers. We will pray for them.
We have been
here for one year. We like this tiny but so beautiful country.
It is like a corner of paradise. Praise God, He is bringing us
back that we may again have our homeland. The lines from Isaiah
43:5-6 move us to tears. These are the golden lines from the Tanach
(Old Testament). I live with my family, my husband and son. I
am 60, my husband is 63 and our son is 17. He is learning the
language of our fathers.
Thank you
for your loving, cordial and wonderful people. We thank them over
and over again for gifts and for warm hearts sent with their gifts.
We have received everything with love and wishing us a healthy
and happy life here in Israel. All the best. May the Lord bless
and protect you - our dear friends.
Shalom from
Israel,
Dina Y
