Nehemiah was overwhelmed because the city of Jerusalem was laid in waste and the people were in much distress. He made an appeal to the people for assistance, "let us rise up and build," so the people gathered together and "strengthened their hands for this good work."

Just as in the Book of Nehemiah, you can have gifts sent and placed directly in Israel. Project Nehemiah volunteers will serve as your hands and feet to personally deliver these gifts.

Your cash gifts may be sent to your national office (located in the United States), which in turn will notify the Israeli office of your gift. Gifts-in-kind will be coordinated through our national office. All gifts are tax deductible. Your funds will be immediately available to our Nehemiah project in Israel. When we receive notification, our volunteers will send you a postcard sharing with you the name of the family you have blessed. How exciting to know of and pray for the family that you have personally helped! This is Christ's love in action, as He said, "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me" (Matthew 25:40).

Make Project Nehemiah Your Project

Project Nehemiah is available as a channel not only for individuals but for Sunday School classes, churches and other Christian organizations as they seek to bless Israel in a direct way. The Bible says in Genesis 12:3, "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee..." Through Project Nehemiah, we are giving Christians the opportunity to actively express our biblical responsibility before God to be faithful to Israel and the Jewish people. It is time that Christians speak up for the people who gave us the Bible and our Saviour.
