Dear Precious Friends, Saints and Co-Laborers in Christ Jesus our LORD,

This is a personal letter of introduction to share with those of you who are really concerned about the lost and suffering Jewish people of Israel. Many folks have asked us, 'What can I personally do to help meet the physical needs of the Jewish people in Israel? I want to do something!"  God has opened our hearts and eyes to see the needs of our Jewish friends.

What an exciting time to be in the Land of Israel. New immigrants have arrived with many special needs. They are looking for a new freedom, but have no resources with which to begin. They have great physical needs, as well as spiritual. With their coming, the LORD has opened up a tremendous door of opportunity unlike any before.

Let me explain. We truly believe that we honor Jesus by being friends to Israel and the Jewish people. By deeds of love, done in Jesus' name, we want to help clear away the misconceptions of the past. Down through history, "Christendom" has had a sad record of mistreatment and persecution of the Jewish people. Those of us who have studied the Scriptures about Israel's restoration can help rebuild relationships by sharing what we have and what we have learned with others.

I would like to share with you in the next two paragraphs what we as part of the church (the body of Christ) should be doing:

1. According to Acts 3:1-3, the church must be concerned for the whole person. Our trichotomy of spirit, soul and body [spirit, soul and body is the biblical order] often has led us to seek to minister to only one part of a person, whereas we need to recognize that each person is a totality. We must be concerned about a person as a whole, with physical needs, mental-emotional needs, and spiritual needs.ngry and help introduce them to God the Father, through Jesus Christ His Son.

As we have studied Christ's ministry, we recognize that he went about the business of making people whole. He fed the hungry, healed the sick, delivered the demoniacs, and forgave the sinners. He tried to touch and mend everything that was broken to whom he ministered. So, by God's help let us follow Christ's example.

2. The church must give what it has (Acts 3:4-8). The church is called upon to make every effort to meet the needs of [remove 'the'] people. The church must never become the middle man between [remove 'the federal'] government and the needy. It must never be merely an impersonal agent that gives to others what costs it nothing. The church is called upon, in the name of Christ, to give whatever is needful, whether physical or spiritual. Remember it cost Christ everything.
